Wild Radiance: Why Your Inner Nectar Might Be Running on Empty (And Why Another To-Do List Won't Fix It)…
"Good morning, my slightly unhinged Moonbeams..."
Firstly...Can we all just agree that somewhere between June and July, life seems to quietly lose the plot?
Honestly? Sometimes I think summer is the extrovert of the seasons.
She's fabulous......but she can also be a bit much.
Meanwhile, many of us are secretly fantasising about cancelling everything, making a cup of rose tea, climbing into bed with a good book and pretending we're unavailable until September.
If that's you...
Welcome.
You've found your people.
So... what on earth is Rasa?
Let me explain.
In Ayurveda, Rasa is often translated as our inner nectar. It's the first tissue created from the food we digest.
But it's so much more than that. It's how nourished we feel. How hydrated we are. How emotionally resourced we become.
It's our softness. Our glow. Our capacity to receive life rather than simply survive it.
I often think of Rasa as the difference between a plump, juicy rose in full bloom....and the sad lettuce I occasionally discover at the back of my fridge.
One is vibrant. The other has seen some things.
Most women I meet aren't broken.They're dehydrated...
Not just physically. Spiritually. Emotionally. Energetically.
They've spent years...
Looking after everyone else. Holding families together. Working. Caring. Fixing. Remembering birthdays.
Forgetting why they walked into the kitchen.
(Please tell me menopause isn't just me...)
Eventually the body says...
"I've got nothing left to give."
And because we're women...
What do we do? We add another thing to the list. Another supplement. Another podcast. Another morning routine.
Another reason to feel like we're somehow failing.
Here's the thing...
Radiance isn't something you hustle for. It isn't hiding inside a colour-coded planner. It doesn't arrive once you've finally completed your to-do list. (Which, let's be honest, is a mythical creature.)
Radiance grows when we begin receiving again.
Receiving beauty. Receiving rest. Receiving nourishment. Receiving kindness. Receiving help. Receiving joy without feeling guilty about it.
Now that's revolutionary.
Summer doesn't have to mean burning yourself out. Ayurveda teaches us that summer naturally increases Pitta.
Heat. Intensity. Drive. Ambition. Passion.
Which is wonderful...Until we become...Hot. Irritable. Impatient. Overwhelmed. Unable to sleep.
Wondering why everyone suddenly seems incredibly annoying.
(Again... just me?)
This is exactly when we need to introduce the opposite qualities. Cooling. Softening. Hydrating. Slowing. Not because we're lazy.
Because we're wise.
My July prescription...The Wild Woman one.
Drink rose tea.
Watch a sunrise.
Eat juicy seasonal fruit.
Walk barefoot on the grass.
Rest before you're exhausted.
Let someone else make dinner occasionally.
Laugh until your belly aches.
Dance in your kitchen.
Say no without writing a three-page apology.
Spend time with women who remind you who you really are.
Here's what I've learned... After navigating stress, grief, Hashimoto's, menopause, burnout, court cases and all the wonderfully messy chapters life has thrown at me... I've realised something. Healing isn't about becoming perfect.
It's about becoming softer with yourself. Some days you'll meditate at sunrise. Other days you'll accidentally put your phone in the fridge. Both versions of you are welcome. Both are worthy. Both deserve nourishment.
Come and refill your cup.
Throughout July we're exploring Wild Radiance – Nourish Your Rasa inside our beautiful community.
We'll be sharing...
Rose rituals. Seasonal Ayurveda. Moon wisdom. Gentle yoga. Nervous system care. Journal prompts.
And probably the occasional life story that makes us all laugh because, honestly, what else are we going to do?
Because around here...We take the work seriously. But we don't take ourselves too seriously.
There is room for tears. There is room for laughter. Sometimes in exactly the same moment.
And maybe...Just maybe...That's where the real healing begins.
With all my love,
Andrea xx

A Little July Blessing
May I stop believing that my worth is measured by how much I do.
May I soften the heat of striving.
May I nourish my body, soothe my heart and remember that I, too, deserve to receive.
May my life become a little slower... a little softer... and a whole lot juicier.
