The New Moon & Solar Eclipse…
Good morning gorgeous Moonbeams,
Happy New Moon and today we arrive at another powerful threshold. It seems to have been all about the thresholds this last few weeks and we are certainly all getting the invitation to step up, but what if the invitation is to step IN?
To be fully engaged and present in your own life?
ARE YOU INSPIRED BY YOUR OWN LIFE?
Rather than rushing to fill this New Moon with new intentions, goals and things we want to call in, we can allow ourselves to do something different, ask WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?
There is something deeply feminine about darkness.
The womb is dark.
The earth beneath our feet is dark.
The seed begins its life in darkness.
And so much of our own becoming happens in the places where we cannot yet see what comes next.
We live in a world that constantly asks us to know.
What are you doing next?
What are you creating?
Where are you going?
What is the plan?
But the Wild Woman remembers that there are seasons when we are not meant to know.
There are seasons for listening.
For becoming quiet enough to hear what is moving beneath the surface.
For recognising what has completed its cycle.
For noticing the identities, roles, expectations and stories that perhaps no longer belong to the woman we are now in this moment.
And an eclipse feels like such a beautiful symbol of this.
For a moment, the familiar light is obscured.
Not because the light has disappeared…
but because something is passing between us and what we usually see.
This New Moon is asking:
What am I ready to stop carrying?
Not because it was wrong.
Not because I need to fix myself.
But because I have outgrown it.
Maybe it is the woman who always says yes.
The woman who over-gives.
The woman who needs everyone to understand her.
The woman who keeps proving herself.
The woman who believes she must keep pushing, producing and doing in order to be worthy.
The woman who has become so accustomed to caring for everyone else that she has forgotten the sound of her own inner voice.
There is nothing wrong with these women.
Perhaps they were once exactly who we needed to be to survive.
So today we thank them.
And then we ask…
WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?
CAN TODAY BE THE DAY I ALLOW ME TO BE ENOUGH?
A Simple Eclipse Ritual…
Sometime today, create a little space for yourself.
Light a candle.
Place your hands over your heart and belly.
Take a few long, slow breaths and feel the ground beneath you.
Then whisper:
I honour the woman I have been.
I honour everything she carried.
I honour everything she survived.
I release what is complete.
I do not need to know what comes next.
I trust the wisdom of the dark.
I trust the woman I am becoming.
Then take your journal and contemplate:
What version of me is ready to be laid down?
What am I no longer available for?
What feels true for me now?
If I stopped trying to become who I thought I should be and allowed myself to be enough today, who might I naturally become? Or rather UN become?
And then simply sit.
No fixing.
No forcing.
No enormous manifestation list.
Just listen.
Because our deepest work isn't always about becoming more.
Sometimes it is about shedding everything that was never truly ours…
until we can feel ourselves again.
This is the path of the Wild Woman.
Not wild because she is chaotic or untamed by responsibility.
Wild because she belongs to herself.
She knows when to move.
She knows when to rest.
She knows when something has ended.
And she trusts herself enough to walk into the unknown without demanding that the whole path be illuminated.
Regulated women are powerful women.
And sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stop pushing towards the light…and allow ourselves to be held by the dark for a little while.
With all my love & devotion,
Andrea xx
