The Waxing Moon & The Wild Bohemian…

Dance Your Way Back to a Juicy Life…

There is something about the Waxing Moon that feels hopeful.

After the darkness and stillness of the New Moon Cocoon, a sliver of light appears once more in the night sky.

Something is stirring.

Something is awakening.

Nature begins to gather momentum.

And perhaps you can feel it too.

A quiet longing for more aliveness.

More movement.

More colour.

More joy.

More of you.

This is the magic of the Waxing Moon.

She reminds us that life is cyclical.

There are times for resting.

Times for retreating.

And there are also times for emerging.

For remembering what lights us up.

For dancing with possibility.

For returning to the sweetness of being alive.

The Wild Bohemian…

Within us all lives the Wild Bohemian.

She is playful.

Creative.

Expressive.

She follows curiosity rather than perfection.

She understands that life is not something to simply manage or endure.

It is something to be experienced.

Savouring a cup of tea in the garden.

Buying flowers simply because they make her smile.

Listening to music while cooking dinner.

Walking barefoot in the grass.

Watching the moon rise.

Wearing the dress she loves.

Laughing with friends.

Dancing for absolutely no reason.

The Wild Bohemian knows something many of us have forgotten:

Pleasure is nourishment.

Living a Juicy Life…

This month we are exploring The Nectar Month – Return to Radiance Through Rasa.

In Ayurveda, Rasa means juice, essence, flavour and inner nectar.

Rasa is our capacity to feel nourished by life.

Not simply fed.

Not simply functioning.

But nourished.

A juicy life is not necessarily a bigger life.

It is a more fully lived life.

A life where we are present enough to notice beauty.

A life where we allow ourselves moments that have no purpose other than delight.

A life where we soften enough to receive.

Because so many women are living dry lives.

Lives that have become lists.

Responsibilities.

Routines.

Deadlines.

Giving.

Holding.

Doing.

Without enough beauty.

Without enough pleasure.

Without enough moments that make us feel truly alive.

The Wild Bohemian invites us back.

Back into our bodies.

Back into joy.

Back into movement.

Back into ourselves.

Why Dance Matters…

Movement is one of the quickest ways to nourish depleted Rasa.

Dance helps us:

Move stagnant energy

Awakens creativity

Shift our emotional state

Feel pleasure and aliveness

Return to our bodies

Regulate the nervous system

Remember that we are more than our responsibilities

Dance is not performance.

Dance is medicine.

It is a conversation between your body and your soul.

It is an opportunity to ask:

How do I feel today?

What wants to move through me?

What wants to be expressed?

The body always knows.

Sometimes she wants to sway.

Sometimes she wants to stomp.

Sometimes she wants to spin.

Sometimes she wants to cry.

Sometimes she wants to laugh.

All of it is welcome.

All of it is medicine.

The Wild Bohemian Dance Ritual…

This Waxing Moon, create a little ritual for yourself.

Close the door.

Light a candle.

Make a cup of rose tea.

Put your phone away.

Press play on your favourite music.

And then simply…

Move.

Roll your shoulders.

Circle your hips.

Stretch your arms.

Sway gently.

Shake your body.

Dance like nobody is watching.

Because nobody is.

This dance isn't for anyone else.

It is for you.

For your body.

For your heart.

For your inner nectar.

For your aliveness.

Dance until you feel yourself soften.

Dance until you smile.

Dance until you remember something important:

You are still here.

You are still becoming.

You are still wonderfully alive.

Waxing Moon Reflections…

As the moon gathers light, perhaps ask yourself:

What lights me up?

When do I feel most alive?

What brings me delight?

What simple pleasures have I forgotten?

What wants to emerge within me?

Where can I create more beauty and playfulness?

What would make my life feel a little more juicy?

A Blessing for the Waxing Moon…

May I welcome more joy.

May I honour beauty as nourishment.

May I remember that pleasure is sacred.

May I create space for wonder and delight.

May I move my body freely and lovingly.

May I soften into the sweetness of life.

May I dance my way back to myself.

Because I was never meant to simply get through my days.

I was meant to taste them.

Savour them.

Feel them.

And live a beautifully juicy life.

Turn up the music. Close your eyes.
And dance your way back to you.

With love & Wild Devotion,

Andrea xx
